The study, which is based on responses from 2,734 small commercial insurance customers (businesses with 50 or fewer employees), determined overall customer satisfaction based on five categories, in the following order of importance: interaction, policy offerings, price, billing and payment, and claims. Nationwide scored 844 out of a possible 1,000 points on the Customer Satisfaction Index Ranking scale, which places them above the industry average of 825.
